Hi folks, I’m Jennifer Long—proudly calling Hurricane, Utah, my home, where I’m lucky enough to be just a short 30-minute drive from the jaw-dropping Zion National Park. I’m also the proud mom of four amazing grown kids and the lucky owner of a playful Labrador Retriever named Killer (don’t let the name fool you, he’s all love and snuggles).
For as long as I can remember, Studio Art has been my thing. I studied design at BYU before marrying my best friend, Ken, in 1993. We were both lovers of the great outdoors, diving into all kinds of adventures like hiking, scuba diving, biking, and climbing. I was born hard of hearing, Ken made sure our world was full of laughter and connection—he even learned American Sign Language so we could communicate with ease.
Through thick and thin, Ken was my rock. He stood by me during my battle with cancer, always supporting me in ways that words can’t fully capture. Sadly, in 2021, we lost him to Covid-19. But even in the midst of grief, I’ve found a way to honor his spirit, his adventurous soul, and the love we shared.
One of the things I treasure most is our first date—watching Hook and laughing until our sides ached as the Lost Boys teased each other by calling one another “codfish.” That playful nickname became our inside joke, a reminder to always embrace joy and never take life too seriously.
In honor of Ken and the memories we created, I’ve poured my heart into creating art that celebrates the beauty of life’s journey. But there’s a little something extra in every piece: the use of upcycled jeans and fabric scraps. I love turning old denim and forgotten fabric into something new and beautiful—just like how I’ve turned my grief into creativity.
Each piece I make holds a piece of our story, a dash of adventure, and a whole lot of love. Thank you for being part of this journey with me. I can’t wait to create something unique and special just for you—woven together from memories, nature, and a whole lot of heart.
